Doorstep Network is the operator of this website and the data controller for the personal information described below.

• Enquiry details: the subject of your message, who you deliver for, and anything else you tell us.
• Application details: if you apply for a franchise, we collect the information needed to assess and administer that application, including your personal information, the address we post materials to, delivery activity (company, depot, and usual operating area), and details of anyone who introduced you to DSN.
• Payment information: when you pay your initial franchise fee, payment is handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details. Your monthly franchise fee after that is taken from the commission you earn, not from a payment method you give us.
• Technical information: standard website usage data, such as pages visited and browser type, collected automatically as you use the site. See our Cookies page for details.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Respond to enquiries sent through our contact form.
• Assess and process franchise applications, including verifying eligibility.
• Administer active franchises, including calculating and paying commissions.
• Preserve the source of an application and any introducing franchisee, so referrals can be recognised and correctly attributed.
• Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
• Keep our website secure and working properly.

Our legal basis for processing

We process your information because it's necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a franchise agreement, to perform that agreement once in place, to comply with our legal obligations (such as tax record keeping), or because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our website and franchise programme.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary, including with:

• A third party payment provider, to process franchise fee payments.
• A transactional email provider, to send confirmations and account communications.
• Professional advisers (such as our solicitors or accountants), where relevant.
• Regulators or authorities, where we're legally required to.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, including any period needed to meet legal, accounting, or tax requirements. Enquiries that don't lead to an application are kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle them.
